The Auckland Mayor, Phil Goff, announced today (Friday 20 th March) that Auckland libraries, pools and recreational centres, as well as the Maritime Museum and Art Gallery, will close for two weeks from today in line with Government recommendations to constrain the spread of COVID-19.

The Waiheke Recreation Centre will also close immediately to after-hours community use in line with this recommendation.

The closure will be for a period of two weeks initially, extended as required depending on the evolving situation and the advice of the Government.
